I have a few little tiny bits to finish – such as the lenses on (what I think is ) the rear engine control panel and of course I still need to stick him on his base and finish colouring the clear plastic sheet for the cockpit windows. ![]() I took those last pics about 20 minutes or so ago, so I’m as up to date as I can be at the moment. The black was lightly drybrushed with Dawnstone and then Administratum Grey and then a light wash of Nuln Oil was applied to the black areas only.Īfter that was all finished I then got my lovely epoxy resin out and mixed a batch up in order to stick the bad boy together! I had to hold this in place for 35 minutes (!!) while it set and then I took it into my kitchen to try and take some better photos. The Mechanicum icon was painted with Karak Stone and Abaddon Black as a base and then the bone areas were washed with Agrax Earthshade and then re-highlighted with Karak Stone again and then Krieg Khaki as as a top highlight. I have finished the Mechanicum icons on the back of the carapace and I’ve spread a little Forge World Black Soot weathering powder on the exhausts, vents and near the void shield generators as well as some washes of Agrax Earthshade and Nuln Oil on the same areas. ![]() Here I find myself at week 18, and … well… I’m almost done. ![]()
